StemWijzer Gemeente 2026 is an interactive isometric quiz game inspired by the Dutch StemWijzer voting guide, built for the 2026 municipal elections (Gemeenteraadsverkiezingen). Instead of a standard questionnaire, players explore a stylized city — rendered in a Patrick Caulfield-inspired flat pop-art aesthetic — walking between themed zones and interacting with NPCs to answer policy statements.
How It Works
- 10 themed zones: Wonen, Klimaat, Veiligheid, Mobiliteit, Economie, Zorg, Onderwijs, Cultuur & Sport, Diversiteit, and Bestuur
- Walk and talk: Use WASD or click to move through the isometric city, approach NPCs and press I or click to start answering statements
- 30 policy statements covering real local political topics (housing, climate, safety, economy, education, etc.)
- 21 Rotterdam parties with illustrative positions on each statement
- Party followers: Political party mascots follow you around — if your answers diverge too much from a party’s positions, they walk away
- Three quiz modes: Snel (10), Normaal (20), Volledig (30) statements
- Results screen: See your match percentage with all parties, with links to their websites
Visual Style
The game uses a Patrick Caulfield-inspired aesthetic: bold flat color planes, heavy black outlines, no gradients or shadows. The city features the Binnenhof, Erasmusbrug, canals with wave patterns, wandering pedestrians, and themed decorations per zone.
