<p><strong>Award:</strong> Monthly living grant of EUR 1,000, production grant of up to EUR 3,000, a round-trip travel grant, and a fully equipped studio-apartment of roughly 50 sqm. For collectives and duos the living grant (up to EUR 2,000) and the production grant (up to EUR 3,000) are shared between members. Access to production facilities and local networks. <p>Residency programme run by the Art Explora Foundation with the Cite internationale des arts at its Montmartre site, supporting work that engages scientific and technological exploration and the major social and environmental issues of the present. Residents receive a studio-apartment of around 50 sqm, a monthly living grant of EUR 1,000, a production grant of up to EUR 3,000, and a round-trip travel grant, plus access to production facilities and local networks. Two tracks are offered: a SOLO programme for artists and writers across visual arts, performance, digital practices, literary and other experimental disciplines, and a COLLECTIVE programme for duos or collectives working collaboratively on interdisciplinary, experimental or research-based projects, for which a single studio-apartment designed for collaborative work hosts two residents sharing a bed, and only one member should submit the application. Eligible artistic disciplines are visual arts, performance and live arts, digital arts, curatorial practices, and writing and literary practices; eligible research fields are humanities, social sciences, cultural studies and history, technological innovation, and ecology. No output is required at the end of the residency, but participation in the Open Studios is mandatory. ELIGIBILITY: artists, artist collectives, researchers, curators and writers of all nationalities, no age restriction, with a minimum of five years of professional activity and works or research exhibited at national or international level. <p>The Athens Residency is the flagship program of ARCAthens, a not-for-profit founded in 2017, offering two fully-funded Fellowships (Visual Art and Curatorial) that enable artists, curators, and scholars to live and work in Athens, Greece, and respond to the city's ongoing cultural renaissance. The residency is a structured, research-driven program built around scheduled engagements with artists, curators, institutions, and collections, including arranged studio and private collection visits, guided institutional access, and select community events. Distinct from studio-isolated models, it emphasizes engagement and exchange, balancing focused visits with time for independent exploration. ELIGIBILITY: ARCAthens welcomes applicants from all countries and nationalities representing a broad range of creative thought and practice; the program is open to applicants not residing in Greece. PRACTICAL: 3-month duration; USD 3,000 Fellowship Prize; USD 200 per week stipend toward food and local transportation; a basic coach round-trip ticket is provided (Fellows purchase following ARCAthens approval of itinerary and cost, reimbursed within five business days; in cases of financial hardship ARCAthens may arrange travel directly). Fellows are responsible for all other expenses, including food, local transportation, and any production, installation, or shipping costs. <p>The fourth edition of IMPAKT's Full Spectrum Curatorship Programme invites emerging and aspiring curators interested in media art, digital culture, and the intersection of technology and society to develop their own curatorial project proposal under expert guidance. Taking place in Utrecht from September to December 2026, it combines collective sessions, personal mentorship, guest contributions, and peer exchange, drawing on IMPAKT's archive and critical programming. Participants are paired with curator mentors to develop and position a curatorial proposal. The training covers the history, theory, contextualisation, organisation and execution of media-art programmes, including curatorial concept development, critical and societal contextualisation, artwork selection, budgets and funding, audience reception, and presentation formats, with a focus on time-based media and multi-channel/interactive formats. Confirmed mentors include Annet Dekker, Ine Gevers, Paulien Dresscher, Doreen A. Rios (online) and Eva Fischer (online). ELIGIBILITY: recent graduates and early- and mid-career curators; participants must attend all sessions and commit a minimum of 8 hours per week (preparation, research, independent work). Duos or teams may apply (sharing the grant). No thematic requirement; applicants choose their own research focus and have access to V2_'s extensive archive. Apply with a letter of motivation (max 2 pages), short CV (max 1 page) and a specific research question (max 1 page) via the linked Google form, or email v2@v2.nl if you do not have a Google account.
