Dance Ireland's residency programme at DanceHouse, Dublin, gives dance artists paid studio time to develop ideas for a new work, carry out artistic research or maintain a studio practice. It is aimed at artists and projects that are not otherwise funded. WHAT YOU GET: EUR 750 per week for the participating artist, subsidised studio space, an additional EUR 750 distance bursary for artists based more than 100 km from Dublin, and one dedicated Disabled Dance Artist residency with a EUR 750 bursary and access budget. ELIGIBILITY: Professional Members of Dance Ireland for the general residencies (allow at least a week to renew membership before the deadline); the Disabled Dance Artist residency does not require membership but is for Irish or Ireland-based artists. Realities in Transition (RiT2), a Creative Europe XR cooperation project, and Beta Festival in Ireland invite artists, technologists, storytellers, engineers, hackers and designers to develop XR, interactive, multi-user work that explores technology through relationships between human, artificial and more-than-human intelligence, with a focus on decolonial thinking and interdependence. Three artists are selected, each paired with a creative technologist and working as a group. WHAT YOU GET: a EUR 15,000 grant per artist for a six-month hybrid residency from March to August 2027, with an in-person period at Beta in May to June 2027, a Test Lab in June 2027 and a showcase at Beta Festival in November 2027. The Arts Council of Ireland's Festivals Investment Scheme funds small to mid-scale arts festivals whose programmes engage local communities or communities of interest, across all artforms including multidisciplinary, digital and performance programmes. Round 2 of the 2027 scheme is for festivals later in 2027 (Round 1, which closed in May 2026, covered festivals from January to June 2027). WHO: organisations delivering an arts festival programme in the Republic of Ireland. WHAT YOU GET: a grant of up to EUR 45,000 towards the festival programme, in three bands by scale. The Theatre Project Award supports specific artistic projects in theatre, enabling individual artists and organisations to bring their ideas to fruition and create excellent work, from script and concept development through to new creations, including devised, interdisciplinary and technology-led performance. WHO: individual theatre artists and theatre organisations based in Ireland. WHAT YOU GET: a project grant of up to EUR 26,000 in this round (Play Development and Theatre Creation scales). Annual award from the Lillias Mitchell Trust recognising craft and visual artists connected to Ireland. AWARDS: EUR 10,000 each to two winners, one in Visual Art and one in Craft + Applied Art (total fund usually around EUR 30,000); shortlisted artists also receive a smaller financial award, amount to be confirmed. ELIGIBILITY: craft and visual artists living and working on the island of Ireland, and Irish-born artists working overseas; any career stage with demonstrated artistic merit; full-time students are normally not considered; previous main-award winners cannot reapply.
